How to claim

What to remember

  • Claims must be submitted within four (4) months. Older claims will be considered expired and will not be paid
  • Make sure that your membership number, the healthcare provider’s details including the practice number are clear on the claim
  • Send a detailed claim and not just a receipt as we need the details of what you are claiming for in order to process your claim quickly and correctly.

Remember: If your medical provider sends the claim to us electronically, you do not need to send us a copy.

We are currently revamping our website and your claims information will only be accessible at the end of January 2017.

You can send us your claims in one of the following ways:

Upload - scan and upload your claims, you will need to be logged in.

Email – scan and email your claims to claims@netcaremedicalscheme.co.za

Please note that emails over 1MB in total size will not be accepted on this address so members are advised to size their image files accordingly

Post  – send your claims to Netcare Medical Scheme, P O Box 652509, Benmore, 2010.

Fax  – fax your claims to 0860 392 252

Claims drop-off boxes – Drop off your claims in a blue Discovery Health drop-off box located for your convenience in most pharmacies, medical practices and at Virgin Active and Planet Fitness gyms nationwide.
